The Einstein of Web Design - Texx Smith
Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.
-- Albert Einsten
I am the famous Texx Smith. Ok, I'm not really famous and my name really isn't "Texx". My given name is quite common, it's James Smith. People can't find me on the internet as James Smith, people don't remember my name, calling me John and Jeff quite frequently. Worst of all is the looks I get from hotel clerks, police officers and the guy at the car rental counter. That was until I started going by my nickname, "Texx". Nope, I'm not trying to hide my identity, I just told it to you. I just want you to remember me, and be able find me. See, now you'll probably remember my name the next time we meet now and if you need to find me on a search engine, well, just search any of them for Texx Smith, I'll be the top result, don't you worry.
So about me professionally:
I've been designing web sites since 1994. In 1996 I created my first web site for pay. Up until Sept. 11th, 2001 web design was just a part time thing for me. I had a full time job as a kitchen manager. Then restaurants started closing left and right. After a few tough months of slashed pay, slashed hours and cheap illegal immigrant competition, I realized it was time for a change and I dedicated myself full time to web design and my business.
Since then I've learned so much and my company has grown so much. No longer is it just web design. Now it's web design, data services, web applications and internet marketing as well. No longer am I a rookie but an expert in my field and an industry leader.
Personally:
Internet technologies are my number 1 passion. I live for my "science". In my downtime I spend time with my wife and three kids. We like to do the typical Florida outdoors stuff like kayaking, photography, and I love fishing. Oh, I do indulge my self in a computer game like Fallout 3 or Call of Duty in the wee hours of the night sometimes.
