Web Hosting Services Sorry but our world class hosting is for clients only.

First of all we only provide hosting service to existing clients. The web hosting marketplace is very competitive right now. You can a web hosting package for as low as $5.00 a month out there. the question is do you want to use this cheap web hosting. Since the prices are so low and the profit margins very low, there's not really any room for profit with out presenting a low quality product. Thus we provide a high quality product with support but since we're losing money on this service we only offer it to our clients.

As a web design, web development or Internet Marketing client you are free to host your web site wherever you'd like. If you choose to host with us, you get:

  • Free support
  • Faster Development times
    • Developers are often slowed by lack of permissions, lack of tools and/or strange security policies on third party web hosts.
      • For instance GoDaddy is amazing for domain names but not so great for hosting. It takes over 90 minutes to create a backup of a database on a GoDaddy server, where it takes <1 ,minute on a cPanel server.
  • Better support

 

We like cheap as much as the next guy. With Web hosting though, you really don't want to get the cheapest you can for several reasons:

  • Web Hosting always requires at least minimal technical support
  • Shared Web hosting (shared hosting is the cheapest by far) can have too many web sites per server which effects performance o all of them on that machine
  • Server uptime is something you should count on
  • Freedoms! - Cheaper web hosts lock down their machines to prevent customers from doing things that may increase their need for support. It's never a pleasant surprise to hear from your Web Developer "We can't do that here" when he's tasked with something common like "Make a form that sends us an e-mail"

 

Our Servers

We use the Shared hosting model for most of our clients, there are a few key differences between what we provide and what you can buy:

  • We provide technical support.
    • That's technical support from a person who can actually fix the problem and speaks perfect english (well at least they'll have an American accent and a clear speaking voice).
  • We don't "overbook" our web servers
  • We don't "overbook" our database servers
  • We provide cPanel to our clients
  • Almost all, non security options server features are turned on by default to facilitate faster development times.
    • Others are turned on as the need arises since we can be sure of the security of the practices.

 

Dedicated Server Management

Sometimes you just have to have a dedicated server. This can be a great thing but it's also a bit of a burden as someone needs to manage this server. Especially if it's a Windows server. Servers especially Windows servers crash and need rebooted occasionally, servers also need updated, and their anti-virus software needs updated, and they need backed up and so forth.

All of our developers are fully qualified server managers, either for Windows machines or the much more common Linux servers.
